Email Marketing: Promotional Advertising In The Digital Age
April 25th, 2008 under Other. [ Comments: none ]

Everyone with something to sell is looking for the best way to get the message out. There is a variety of tools to use to get your message across to potential clients, but one stands above all the others. Direct email marketing is the fastest growing and, when done right, the most efficient way to market in the information age. But if you use this tool poorly, you’ll end up wasting both time and money.

To use email marketing in the best possible way, you need an autoresponder, such as Aweber. With an autoresponder you can send mass emails to all of your customers quickly and with no effort on your part. Automatically sending out email, newsletters, and other information allows you to reach your target audience with ease, speed and efficiency.

If a business wants to take advantage of the new worldwide business environment, they need only to open their email client. Mailing lists are a reliable way to keep customers ‘in the loop’ on new items, sales and other developments, as well as introduce new customers. The best way to advertise is ‘word of mouth’ and now with email the ‘word of mouth’ can travel anywhere in an instant!

When marking your business you want to keep your name first in your customers mind. You want them to remember to purchase from you at a later date when they need something that you have to provide them with. You want to stay on top of various products so your customer always finds your store or service interesting. Keep your store first in their mind.

Email marketing is a great way to market your goods and services without having to put a lot of time and money into it. Programs such as autoresponders can be set up to automatically send out previously written emails at predetermined times. This will save you a lot of money in administrative costs, not to mention time, compared to to attempting to do this manually.

To get started with email marketing, your first requirement is a good autoresponder. There are many autoresponders available, so be sure to do your research and make comparisons before choosing one. Make sure that your autoresponder is compliant with the CAN-SPAM act. In addition, it should offer unlimited messages, campaigns and broadcasts and a highly reliable delivery rate.

E-mail is the fastest and most efficient way to market items and services. The best way to use email marketing to your advantage is to use an autorespoder. A popular tool in use is aweber. These responders can be used to send mass amounts of emails out to your customers and partners. Newsletters, emails, and other information can be disseminated quite easily, and all on auto-pilot. Mailing lists are a reliable way to keep customers ‘in the loop’ on new items, sales and other developments, as well as introduce new customers.

Private investors become familiar with you by taking a personal interest in you as well as in what it is that your business actually does. If they decide to invest in you, they will base this on their overall impression of you, your experience and your management skills. They’ll also talk to mutual associates to get the details about you.

Private investors will want to know about the others in your team, not just you. They want to learn about your employees and learn whether or not you have a team with the know-how and imagination to help you expand.

As your business grows, you will probably need additional cash to get to the next level. One place to find additional funding is to hunt for investors and sell them partial ownership of your business in exchange for their investing in the business. Consult an attorney who knows about corporate formation and capital structure before looking for business investors. Always ensure that the legal terms and conditions related to investment in your business are taken care of.

Venture capital is a type of private equity capital normally provided by professional, outside investors to new businesses . Owners of the investment companies requiring cash usually exchange shares in the company in exchange for venture capital investments. Venture capital seed money is provided by venture capitalists to help the business over a time of development until it is able to fund itself, or has become so profitable that it is worthy of future rounds of funding.

6 Reasons Why YOU Need to Be On Talk Radio Shows
April 25th, 2008 under Other. [ Comments: none ]

The general business rule is that marketing departments are out to increase brand awareness and build solid sales leads for their company. Troubling, though, is the fact that these marketing departments do not see any value in using public relations to the company’s advantage. What happens in place of public relations? Thousands of dollars are spent on advertising in print and in the electronic mediums. You can save quite a bit of money if you use public relations through appearing as a guest on a talk radio show. Talk radio is an absolute fantastic way for you to get exposure to millions of people nationwide. Whether you are a web based business or a chain with national clientele - talk radio will get you fantastic local or national attention for your business. ” Make sure to do as many shows as possible “, says Friedman , PR Expert of Event Management Services, Inc. , a national public relations firm. ” There are so many “pros” to talk radio that I want to share with you.” So let’s have Friedman educate us as to why being a guest on talk radio is such a PR goldmine:

1. Attractive Target Audience and Demographics. ” On AM radio the audience is almost equally male and female, educated with an age range of 35-64 “, says Friedman . ” In addition to strong demographics there are also specialty talk shows that focus on finance, law, politics, health, relationships, lifestyles, consumer advocacy, sports, gardening and more so you can easily identify shows whose listeners are a match for your corporation .”

2. Cost Effective Promotion. Don’t think that because you are going to appear on a talk radio show that you will have to get on a plane! Friedman says, “Nowadays all of the interviews are phone interviews. This way you can hold your interview from the comfort of your home or in between meetings at the office. If you are being interviewed by phone you can be anywhere and doing anything as long as you are a stone’s throw from a landline. ”

3. An Effective Sales Tool. Although public relations is not advertising , if you get good coverage, it can be far more effective. ” When interviewed on talk radio you are having a live conversation with a plethora of consumers “, says Friedman . ” By executing your interview on talk radio successfully you have been able to communicate your message to consumers in a way that they will remember it! Listeners will want to know how to get whatever the guest is talking about. And most hosts will freely mention your website address or toll free number for you so you don’t sound like an infomercial.”

4. A Terrific Endorsement from a 3rd Party. Talk radio hosts have loyal followings - that’s how they maintain their ratings. And listeners tune in daily to hear what their favorite host is talking about. Friedman says, “Hosts are many times viewed by their listeners as great friends and sometimes even mentors , when you appear as a guest on their show, so when you appear as a guest on the show, you get a fantastic endorsement almost instantly. Credible by association if you will. “

5. Credibility. If you are looking for a bit of credibility look no further than talk radio. Friedman says, “One of my public relations firm’s clients told us, ‘! almost every time I am a guest on a talk radio show - the talk radio show guest is not afraid to boast about my accomplishments and how excited they are to have me as a guest ! Of course, the more important I am as a guest, the more important the host appears to be. Talk radio is a total goldmine for public relations. ‘ Now that is some great PR!”

6. You Are Able to Tell Your Entire Story. If you choose to go with advertising on tv, radio or in print you are faced with specific constraints in terms of budget and time to tell your story. “The great thing about talk radio is that many times you will have up to 30 minutes of times, if not more, to educate the audience about your message. ” says Friedman . These reasons to be interviewed on talk radio should illustrate just how valuable this medium can be to the success of your business. 4 Letterhead Design Mistakes, Which Will Get Your Files Rejected! - Part 2
April 25th, 2008 under Other. [ Comments: none ]

Back from the break! Yes, we’re knuckling down into the second Biggest Design Problem. You Could say this next problem is the most gruesome part of the design process, as it has to do with blood!

Or more accurately “bleeding your document”!

Design Problem #2 is “No Bleed in the Document”!

You mean I gotta give blood to get a print job out? Yeah, some of the terms in the industry can be a little unusual sometimes! When we talk about bleeding your document, it means when the background graphic or image ‘bleeds’ over the edge of the page. It’s to allow for the cutting tolerance of equipment.

Guilotines, Slitters and Timmers (regardless what brand or how expensive they are) can’t cut every printed product in precisely the same place. Variations occur. To compensate for this variation we bleed the background over the edge of the document, so that if it cuts a little bigger than the finished size you won’t get the unsightly effect of ‘white paper’ on the edge of it!

So how to do it?

Well, If your document has a background which you want to go all the way to the edge of the paper, then you will need to extend it even further past the edge of the document. It should be at least 3-5mm. For business cards and brochures 3mm is all that’s needed, however, magazines require 5mm. To be safe include 5mm as general practice. (The more the merrier!)

You need to know that this is for EVERY SINGLEedge of the paper! So you would have 5mm going past the TOP of your document, 5mm going past the BOTTOM of your document, 5mm going past the LEFT SIDE of your document, 5mm going past the RIGHT SIDE of your document.

Simple huh?

The weird thing is that so many people get it wrong!

We know that you won’t make that mistake now don’t we! (wink, wink, nod, nod!)

A hint for the next article is…The reverse of bleed….

Harnessing the Power of PR: Articles Over Advertising
April 25th, 2008 under Other. [ Comments: none ]

Have you ever heard someone say ‘It must be true!I saw it in print!’ Just one good article in a decent magazine can do more for the marketing destiny of your product than several back-to-back ad campaigns.

Why is this true? Because America loves magazines. Just look at the numbers. According to Oxford Communications, there were a whopping 22,106 magazines in some 308 categories in 2006. This shows that there are at a minimum 310 categories that are of great interest to the residents of the United States of America.

Are We Becoming Desensitized to Advertising?

Marsha Friedman, CEO of EMSI, a national public relations firm that specializes in obtaining media attention for their clients says, ” In virtually all of those 22,106 magazines, there were both ads and articles.” It’s true, many readers do respond to these ads, mainly because they relate to the content of the magazine. The big problem with advertising is that people are overloaded, they can’t keep their attention on any one thing for too long. Fordham University recently did a study on advertising!here is their findings:

Advertising is the most pervasive element of the marketing mix: the average family in America of four is exposed to 1,500 advertising messages and a daily basis !’

Wow. Marsha Friedman adds, “Every day, each of us see anywhere from 300-400 ads a day, like it or not. And because, most of the time, we don’t like it, our wonderful brains screen this promotional onslaught to, essentially, safeguard our sanity. So although we may be exposed to 300 to 400 ads a day, we literally don’t ’see’ many of them at all.”

Now articles are another matter altogether.

Marsha Friedman adds, “Subscribers to those 22,106 magazines are hungry for information on their favorite subjects, so the articles there (unlike all those ads) are actually welcome. In these cases the audience is more accepting as the magazine is an “old trusted friend.” This definitely gives you the upper hand.”

”Here is a terrific example of the power of articles”, says Friedman. “In the very early days of my career, I worked as the director of sales and marketing for a money manager. I generated leads and brought in big money clients.”

”A journalist from The Robb Report contacted me one day about doing a show on money managers, like my boss. While the reporter was interviewing my boss, my boss told him in passing that he was living in the 90210 Zip Code (when the show of the same name was at its zenith of popularity) had a flashy car, and a famous actress as his wife. That apparently was enough to land a lengthy feature story inside the magazine with his picture (alongside his Mercedes) plastered on the magazine cover!”

Friedman continues, “And then the story came out. The phones were ringing off of the hook! The orders just flooded in!” It was amazing how we went from 20 to 50 million dollars in such an amazingly short time!”

Now the question you could pose would be would advertising give this same result? When it comes to advertising, article do have the power to give your promotion a much more quality punch! Get Exposure on TV and Radio! 8 Tips How!
April 25th, 2008 under Other. [ Comments: none ]

It is amazing to know that there are only a handful of public relations firms out there that truly know how to harness the power of public relations . Then it is not surprising the TV and radio interviews are the best, yet least known, public relations tool to promote businesses.

Interviews can be fantastic public relations opportunities, but you really need to maximize your time on-air!

Marsha Friedman, Managing Director of Event Management Services Inc, a national public relations firm says “Here are some insider tips to help make your interview on TV or talk radio the best ever”:

1. Always Be Geared Up For Your Interview. Before going on, make sure you’re fully prepared with facts, figures and anecdotes to talk about when you’re on the air. Use a “cheat sheet’ with your best info. Marsha Friedman says, “The viewers or listeners will know if you are full of information or full of “you know what.” The latter will lose the audience’s attention and any credibility they had been building.”

2. The More You Practice, the Better You Will Be. Marsha Friedman adds, “One of your key challenges is staying ‘on-message.’ Hosts and their viewers can throw you off topic in a heartbeat. So here is your challenge: keep afloat while you are on-air. If you’re new to the media game, consider getting a media coach. Got experience already? Then keep sharp with mock interviews with your colleagues.” Be sure you’re fully prepared to handle ANY questions that come your way.

3. Public Relations is not a One-Day Thing. PR strategies should be viewed as a long-term commitment with the goal of developing as much national media exposure as possible. The longer that you are out there on television and talk radio, the more you will recognized as an expert in your industry.

4. Keep the interview pipeline full. You should conduct as many media interviews as possible. Marsha Friedman adds, “What could be better than talking to millions of people without having to travel at all!”

5. Be Ready for Anything! Any appearances on the media that you do should be viewed as “top priority.” That means, when they call..you be ready! Marsha Friedman says, “That means day or night.” The more that you appear on-air, the more visibility you will gain!which leads to sales!

6. Sparkle on air. Enthusiasm speaks loud and clear. Marsha Friedman adds, “Keep the viewers and listeners interested. Treat every interview like it is your most important!”

7. Keep the audience listening. When it comes to the media, entertainment is the key. So just really focus on supplying information in an entertaining way. Do that and you’ll often find the host jumping in to help you promote your message!

8. Focus on Being a Proper Time Manager. If you really want to get the most out of your television or talk radio appearance you need to make sure to maximize your time. Be entertaining, be information and educate. These three things will help you give good interview.

Well there you go! Now get out there and give some terrific interviews! If you would like to learn more about gaining national and local media exposure for your company, product or service, without the financial burden of monthly retainers, Friedman is here to help . Feel free to contact her directly at mfriedman@emsincorporated.com or visit her firm online at http://www.emsincorporated.com. Many retailers offer plus size bathing suits. There are many online stores which offer plus-size suits in a variety of styles and colors. If you’re looking for something specific, you may prefer to go to a local store, where the sales associates can help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Plus size swimwear is no longer as difficult to find as it used to be. There are many companies now who make flattering plus size bathing suits, as the fashion industry has finally realized that all women can wear the same style, regardless of size. For example, plus size tankini swimwear has been growing as a choice, due to the versatility of the cut. Do You Need To Get More Website Traffic?|
April 25th, 2008 under Other. [ Comments: none ]

If you are in a place where you need to start thinking about generating traffic to your website, there are many options that you can find available to you. The fact is, you can have one of the most well-constructed and logically planned webspaces on the internet, and this still won’t do you any good if people don’t notice it. Getting people who are interested in your services to come see what you have to offer can be a lot more difficult than you think, so make sure that you take the time to figure out what other people -including your competitors!- are doing to bring people to their site.

1. Link building

Essentially, link building takes place when more and more people link to your website. In the first place, this works as a form of networking. If people see a site that their friend enjoys, they will be significantly more interested than if they had simply seen a random URL somewhere. However, it is important to remember that search engines will also use the number of sites that link to you as a rating of your popularity; the more people who link to you without your linking back, the better your website will be when it comes to search engine listings. Many people find that by submitting articles to directories or by submitting their information to industry specific directories that they can see a sharp increase in the traffic to their sites.

2. Pay per click advertising

Pay per click advertising essentially allows you to place a targeted ad on a website that is somehow related to yours. You will only need to pay a very small amount of money every time that link to your site is kept, and this gives the advantage of only paying when your pay per click advertisement is doing its job. This is a great way to figure out what ads will work to bring good traffic to your site, and it is also an important tool when it comes to learning what people are looking for in general.

3. Good keyword optimization

Google searches, as one example, are performed using keywords. If you want more traffic going to your website, you’ll need to know exactly what search terms people are looking for. What keywords would people use to find your website? It is worth putting some thought into this. In fact, whole companies exist who are in the business of keywords, and these can help you in determining what keywords you should be using.

4. Article writing

Many people have discovered that article writing is something that they can do to bring people to their website. When you put good articles out on the web, you are establishing yourself as an expert in your field and you will find that by putting free information out there, they will often come to your website for more. Take some time to really think about you know about your industry and write it down. By providing good, clear information that other people want to know, you are making them much more likely to come to your site.

Marketing on the internet is not as difficult as you may think. Find legitimate ways to make money online, or how to increase your website traffic at http://www.nitromarketing.com/blog
